Richard Martyn is a senior associate in Colin Biggers & Paisley's property and development team.
Richard was admitted in 2012 and has 10 years' experience as a litigator in property disputes, estate litigation, commercial disputes and general civil litigation.
Richard joined Colin Biggers & Paisley in 2020 and divides his time between property disputes and estate litigation.
On the property side Richard acts on disputes in relation to sale contracts, option deeds, retail and commercial leases, easements, strata matters and all types of property litigation. His clients include developers and strata schemes, vendors and purchasers, landlords and tenants.
Richard is also experienced in estate disputes and will challenges, including claims relating to further provision from an estate, informal documents, testamentary capacity, undue influence and notional estate matters. In such matters Richard acts on behalf of executors and beneficiaries, charities and faith-based organisations.
Richard also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and his familiarity with the realities of doing business informs his commitment to providing advice that is both practical and commercial.
Out of the office Richard enjoys archery, overseas travel, road trips, keeping in touch with old friends and good whisky.
