Nicola is a special counsel in Colin Biggers & Paisley's property and development practice. She has over 17 years' experience advising on a broad range of property issues, contaminated land, easements, Crown land, Native Title, Old System Title, mine subsidence and subdivisions.
Nicola brings a unique perspective to her practice, having worked as General Counsel and Head of Compliance, Legal and Risk at the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle prior to joining Colin Biggers & Paisley.
Nicola offers a broad range of services to incorporated and unincorporated associations, corporations, church property trusts and religious orders engaged in faith based enterprises. These services include statutory and accreditation compliance, corporate governance, legal risk management and commercial advice.
Nicola graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts, and completed her Graduate Diploma, Legal Practice at the University of Technology Sydney. She was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW in 2001 and the High Court of Australia in 2010.
Nicola is an Accredited Specialist in Property Law under the Law Society of New South Wales' Specialist Accreditation Scheme.
She is currently completing her Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management with the Governance Institute of Australia.
Nicola joined Colin Biggers & Paisley in 2021.
