Marina Basile is a Senior Associate in the Property and Development team.
Marina has been providing market-leading advice for over a decade to a variety of national and international clients. Marina assists clients from the commencement phase of a project, right through to its completion and beyond. She advises on property acquisitions and disposals, manages, negotiates and prepares off-the-plan and post-registration contracts, leasing and all aspects of legal due diligence.
Throughout her career, Marina has had the chance to lead on iconic, billion dollar deals, and work with some of the country's leading companies in the market. Though Marina has many career highlights under her belt so far, she has notably advised on the development of a five stage, $2.8 billion building complex comprising of residential, hotel and commercial. She has also acted on behalf of a company resulting in multi-million dollar site acquisitions and sales, advised on a several thousand lot development deal for a nation-leading company and the $48 million sale of a major shopping centre.
Marina was admitted to practice in August 2011 in the Supreme Court of Victoria and joined Colin Biggers & Paisley in 2022.
