David Uka is a senior associate in the insurance team.
David's practice focuses on dispute resolution and mediation. David has extensive experience in managing complex and sensitive legal claims on a range of issues including personal injury, coverage and reinsurance. He has managed a large portfolio of litigated claims across all Australian Jurisdictions and has achieved a high rate of desirable outcomes.
He has an established track record of achieving satisfactory outcomes in high quantum claims that have an interplay of issues surrounding indemnity, causation, contribution and liability.
He has also represented defendants in litigated and non-litigated personal injury claims arising from motor vehicle accidents.
David's clients include insurers, religious and not-for-profit organisations.
David holds a Bachelor of Laws and Diploma of Legal Practice and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2016. He is currently admitted as a Victorian Legal Practitioner.
Outside his usual practice, David is passionate about giving back and paying it forward. He has been involved in many pro bono legal clinics and has assisted in applications of people seeking asylum in Australia.
He is currently enjoying his term as the Vice President of the Victorian Association of Malawians and Friends.
