David Chong

A special counsel in the insurance team since 2022, David has more than 20 years' experience in litigation with 14 years' post-qualification experience.

David has worked across a variety of large and complex matters and for a vast number of clients. He has pushed himself professionally since the start of his legal career and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in defending claims on behalf of landlords, principal contractors, licensed premises, occupiers, managing agents, cleaning contractors, retailers, host employers and labour hire companies. 

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for personal injury litigation in particular, David has multi-state litigation experience, and enjoys working with a range of clients pursuing varied claims objectives whilst maintaining open, honest and transparent lines of communication.

David holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England. He was admitted to practice as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW on 4 July 2008 and in the High Court on 14 July 2010.
