Alex is a senior associate in the disputes and investigations team at Colin Biggers & Paisley. Alex has a broad practice in commercial and disputes resolution, corporate and estates litigation, equity and trusts disputes, and insurance litigated disputes.
Alex acts on behalf of corporations, high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, investment schemes and businesses across a wide variety of industries and on a broad spectrum of litigated matters, including corporate disputes, contractual disputes, oppression proceedings, claims arising out of the breach of the Consumer Law, Corporations Act or in respect of a contravention of the ASIC Act, commercial leasing disputes, insolvency related matters, professional insurance litigation, and general commercial litigation.
Alex provides advice and regularly appears in contested matters across all levels of first instance and appellate jurisdictions, including the County Court of Victoria, the Supreme Court of Victoria, and the Federal Court of Australia. He has strong advocacy skills and appears without counsel's assistance in contested applications in these jurisdictions. Clients know Alex for his commercially-minded approach, practical legal advice and his unwavering dedication to achieving the best results for his clients.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Laws. He was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2011 and is admitted to practice in the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia.
Alex joined Colin Biggers & Paisley in 2021 as part of the Logie-Smith Lanyon merger team.
