Colin Biggers & Paisley announces senior insurance appointment

Colin Biggers & Paisley is pleased to announce the appointment of senior associate Azat Valiyff to its insurance team in Sydney.

Azat brings with him a wealth of expertise in financial institutions and directors and officers insurance, as well as professional indemnity insurance. Azat has extensive experience in insurance litigation focusing on professional indemnity and directors and officers litigation, complex coverage claims, cyber litigation, employment practices and life insurance.

Gavin Creighton, Co-Head of Insurance said Azat's appointment will strengthen the insurance team's capabilities, particularly in the areas of professional indemnity and cyber security.

"Financial lines is an important part of our practice and Azat is a welcome addition to the team. He will support our existing focus areas of directors and officers, professional indemnity, and cyber security."

Azat's appointment follows a period of recent growth in the insurance practice at Colin Biggers & Paisley. The practice recently welcomed Special Counsels April Campbell and David Chong, and Senior Associate Selcuk Gokmen.
